Nikos Pekiaridis

Nikos Pekiaridis is a documentary photographer and videographer based in Athens, Greece.

Born in November 1984, he initially studied Computer Networks Technology before turning to photography in 2012, during the Greek economic crisis. His practice emerged as a direct response to the profound social and political changes taking place at the time.

He has since pursued professional training through workshops and courses in photojournalism, news photography, documentary storytelling, as well as documentary filmmaking at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
His work focuses on social, political, environmental, and health-related issues, with an emphasis on long-term visual storytelling.

Since 2019, he has been contributing as a photographer and videographer to the international press agency NUR Photo.
